explore: a weekend in victoria, bc

Well, this is a pretty strange place for an English person to visit, between the rampant Victorian kitsch and the totem poles. It feels precarious, too – though that was probably the combined effect of flying there from Seattle in a turbo-prop, and being told early on both that the earthquake-prone city is below sea level, and that the ownership of the land itself is contested. Misty water-coloured memories, here we go:

  1. Although this post was NOT chocolate-based but rather Victorian-Kitsch-based, I still greatly admired the pics, esp the one of Mt. Rainier–GORGEOUS!
